…Advanced Framing Webinar

Join us this Thursday at 3:00 pm ET for a webinar on Advanced Framing presented by the APA-the Engineered Wood Association

Advanced Framing is a system of construction framing techniques designed to optimize material usage and increase energy efficiency.  The primary purpose for use of most advanced framing techniques is to eliminate all unnecessary lumber from the framing process, reducing construction costs, while simultaneously eliminating thermal bridging, and increasing the potential insulation volume to the thermal envelope of the home.

…First Tuesday @ 2:00 previews the convention

Join us for the First Tuesday @ 2:00 (p.m. ET) and converse with Sam Rashkin, author of the book Retooling the U.S. Housing Industry: how it got here, why it’s broke and how to fix it. Does designing and building homes in American now mean coping with a dwindling dream, increased competition and a smaller target audience? What tools are you using to survive? What tools do you need to succeed?

The discussion will be facilitated by Doc List, the professional hired to direct the Retooling the U.S. Housing Industry Workshop being held at the AIBD National Convention, August 7 & 8.

Tuesday, July 3, 2pm to 3pm ET.
