April 22, 2013. What’s happening @AIBD National?

…The launch of our new website.

AIBD is pleased to announce the launch of our new website, www.AIBD.org. Our site has been redesigned with a fresh new look and has cobranded the House Plan Marketing Alliance and National Council of Building Designer Certification websites. Additionally, our new site provides resources for both the consumer and the professional. Viki Wooster, AIBD President, shared her approval, “Congratulations to the Website and Marketing committees, to Executive Director Steve Mickley, to our web design firm Homelinks Computer Services and to all who contributed to the months of thought, planning and implementation that went into creating our fresh and user-friendly new AIBD website. Great job!”

What’s next? The Website Committee is tight lipped. “What we’re working on now combines the best of LinkedIn and the best of Facebook, as well as other features not currently found in social media.” Steve Mickley lets slip.

In addition to two proposals drafted by the AIBD Regulatory and Legislative Advocacy Committee, other agenda items included for debate are numerous updates to the fire safety provisions of the IRC, energy efficiency requirements for residential and commercial construction, and minimum construction provisions for the next generation of residential masonry applications.
