Meeting the Code with Prescriptive Wall Bracing

Tuesday – July 22nd, 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm ET

Originally scheduled for Thursday, July 17th, the second in a series of five wall bracing webinars presented by the APA has been moved to Tuesday, July 22nd. Bob Clark, Senior Engineered Wood Specialist, has been chosen to serve on a jury and the trial could possible run all week this week. I hope you can join us at the new date and time.

With sixteen different braced wall types, various tables, exceptions, alternates, and connection requirements to meet the bracing requirements of the IRC, it can be seen as a very complex topic for homebuilders and designers. This webinar will break down the general requirements of wall bracing and show how to use the tables within the code to determine if braced wall lines meet the requirements. Presented the wall bracing experts at the APA.
