June 29 – Designer of the Year nominations must be received by the national office.

…AIBD Designer of the Year nominations are now being accepted.
Each year at the AIBD national convention, the Designer of the Year award is presented to the member who has made the most outstanding contribution to the AIBD in the past year. Nominations for this prestigious honor are to be solicited from you – the membership. A committee consisting of two of the President’s Council, two members of the College of Fellows and the national staff are to determine from the nominations the recipient of the award.

American Residential Design Awards committee chair, Michael Battaglia, is gathering his team of ARDA judges in Atlanta, GA, this Thursday and Friday. Volunteering their time, experiences, knowledge and opinions are three professionals representing an array of disciplines within our industry.

Hillary Gottemoeller – Content Director at Hanley Wood
ARDA is the AIBD’s annual design competition. Historically, the competition is open only to AIBD Professional members. This year, a Concrete Decor division was added and designers, contractors and artisans throughout the industry were invited to submit exposed concrete projects. …AIBD Florida co-locates with EECE/LEEDS
The Florida Society is combining its Board and General Membership meetings with the Energy Efficiency Conference and Exhibits and a LEEDS Green Associate training program.
The AIBD Board of Directors meeting is scheduled for Friday evening June 22nd from 5-7 PM
The General Membership meeting will follow and is also Friday June 22nd from 7-8 PM since the LEED Prep Class will take up a full day on Saturday June 23rd from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
