Currently lead by the AIBD Colorado President Bernie Kern, the quickly growing group left Wilmington with the goal of creating a list of resources for designers, builders, and consumers in the quest to design and build energy efficient, comfortable and environmentally safe homes.

…NCBDC President attend ICE
John Fought, President of the National Council of Building Designer Certification, is attending the Institute for Credentialing Excellence’s 2012 Educational Conference in Pasadena, CA. AIBD Executive Director Steve Mickley is joining him. They will be attending instructional sessions on certification development and administration best practices. John’s efforts will not only keep the NCBDC up-to-date on new ideas and trends, but will be learning the important steps towards getting third-party accreditation by ANSI, a five-year goal established by the Council in February 2012.
…NCBDC exam reminder
The next NCBDC exam date is December 1 & 2 in Oklahoma, OK. The last day to submit your application is November 16. Applications can be sent electronically using the DropBox and www.AIBDmember.org. It is FREE for AIBD Professional members to apply. Non-members pay $50. Once approved, the exam fee is $300.
The next exam is offered in Seattle, WA, January 18 & 19. Applications must be received by December 14.
