Texas member wins Platinum Award.
AIBD Professional member, Bruce Sommers of Ashworth Design & Remodeling in Kingwood, Texas, took home a Platinum Award at last Thursday night’s Professional Remodeler Design Awards 2014 reception in Baltimore, Maryland. Bruce’s project won the Whole House $300,000 to $750,000 category. “We removed the entire second floor and raised the ceilings of the first. It made a dramatic change to the way the house feels.” Bruce said. There were a multitude of other changes Bruce designed into the winning entry with a notable one being the new Kitchen (shown left). Professional Remodeler magazine will be publishing all of the Platinum Award winners in their November 2014 issue. Get a copy and check out more photos of Bruce’s work.
The Professional Remodeler Design Awards accepted projects completed between Jan. 1, 2011 and July 15, 2014. Expert judges evaluated work in 22 categories based on quality, design, problem solving, and creativity.
