…An ICC Industry Advisory Committee Meeting

The International Code Council Industry Advisory Committee (ICC IAC) is meeting on Tuesday, 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, in Washington, DC. AIBD Executive Director, Steve Mickley, presently fills the committee seat provided by the ICC to the American Institute of Building Design.

For the past year or more, the committee has been reviewing the ICC policy on emergency code amendments and how ICC defines representation at the code hearings. At this meeting the ICC IAC will be seeing for the first time the results of an industry wide survey performed by Younger/McKinley Advisers. New on the agenda is a discussion on referenced standards in the I-codes and the impact of the code development schedule on standard content vs code content.
