This year’s Interactive Conference on Residential Design (iCORD) will feature keynote speaker Michael Stein, originally a carpenter who now leads the Community Team at Houzz. Michael will present the state of our industry from the perspective of the recent Houzz and Home Survey. The details are still being worked out by the AIBD Convention Committee and more information will be released as it’s received. Michael and his team are also planning to¬†host the “Houzz Genius Bar”¬†throughout the two-day event.

With more than 200,000 respondents, the Houzz & Home survey is the largest survey of renovation and decorating activity ever conducted, providing unique insights into historical and planned projects, the motivations behind these projects, and the impact of the economy on home building, renovation and decorating plans among Houzz users across the United States and around the world.

Houzz.com is the leading online platform for home remodeling and design, providing people with everything they need to improve their homes from start to finish – online or from a mobile device. From decorating a room to building a custom home, Houzz connects millions of homeowners, home design enthusiasts and home improvement professionals across the country and around the world.

iCORD is a two-day P2P knowledge circulation experience. Attendees have access to more than one-hundred lifetimes of industry skill, expertise and awareness. Serving as the educational portion of the American Institute of Building Design’s Annual Convention, this much-anticipated event is one part conference, one part technical training and three parts industry summit.
