August 27, 2012. What’s Happening @AIBD_national?

…How do you value membership?

The AIBD Marketing Committee launches today one of many advances towards reinventing the Institute. The journey begins with a strategic conversation firmly focused on value of membership – defining it, designing it, and delivering it. By interviewing the industry, the committee seeks a clearer understanding of the organization’s challenges and opportunities, greater acceptance of the need for evolutionary change, new ideas for creating value, and a readiness within the association for doing things in new ways.

Provide the committee with your likes, dislikes, thoughts and ideas. Each contributor who completes the questionnaire and provides their name and email address will be entered into a drawings for a KitchenAid 5-speed mixer or food processor compliments of Whirlpool. Click HERE to begin.

The deadline to enter is 5pm ET on September 5th.

…A third AIBD student chapter is in the works.

Internal Vice President David Pillsbury and Central District Director Ron Ressler met this past week with Educator member John Hartman to begin the formation of an AIBD student chapter at Globe University near Minneapolis, MN. The GU chapter would be the third student chapter and a furthering of the David’s 20/20 initiative (20 student chapters by the year 2020) which he soon plans to present to the AIBD Board of Directors for inclusion in the 2013 Strategic Development Plan.  AIBD currently has student chapters active at the University of Central Missouri and Seminole State College, which is in Florida.
